The Different Roulette Systems

Roulette is touted as one of the best games of chance on the face of the earth. Roulette has such a loyal following that even far flung areas in Europe and in the Middle East enjoy the thrill the game brings. It is not really hard to understand why the game is such a treasured past time and sport for many.

Roulette also has the reputation for being a sport that almost anyone can play - from the high rollers to the average person in the street. What was once known as a table game for the rich is now available to anyone. This is so that once players make bets in the table, all social class divisions cease to exist and everyone is seen on an equal level.

Anyone from any social or income level class can play roulette as long as they understand the concept of black and red.

The game of roulette didn't make much of a scene in the early 1600's but has slowly been building up steam in the early 80's.

In roulette, there are only several kinds of wheel challenges available: the Euro Wheel and the American Wheel. The main difference of the two is not the size of the wheel but the design of it. Other wheel like the American wheel has an extra pocket. Many people believe that using a pocket with many pockets is better because it may seem that there are more holes the ball can sink into. This is actually a fallacy. More holes in the wheel spell fewer chances for winning and more chances for the house to triumph.

Some roulette players have claimed to come up with their own versions of playing roulette so that one would win. The only problem is that roulette is a game of chance and chance has no measurable date. One might as well be throwing wind in the area.

Here are some of the playing strategies used by many people until this day:

Martingale System. Pros and Cons: the system allows the player to make a double bet every time one loses. This is to allow the player to recover bets faster. Although some see it as the best alternative option, one must have a large bankroll to see the plays through. The biggest con is that players never can tell when the winning streak has started and when it is going to end.

Jagger Technique. Pros and Cons: This method offered by Jagger does not rely more on probabilities but on the assumption that the construction and shape if the wheel is not balanced and can be tiled to allow a winner. It is assumed that all wheels are not balanced and the wheel stops at the place of heaviest weight distribution. In other words, it is when the ball stops that it shows where the defect of the wheel lies. People who are looking for an edge they can understand believe this method.

The 1st most common strategy is called the Thomas Donald System. Pros and Cons: the strategy entails the player to have a very, very large bankroll to begin with. The reason for the huge bankroll is that the wind and loss are reflective on each other, like a minus point system. When betting, one must bet very big to cover past losses and decrease bets when losing, and hopefully reach the wave to star again.

These strategies are an excellent way of planning ones next visit but should not be the end all. Players who want o enjoy themselves should take these systems in stride and accept what gains or losses they incur.
